The Independent School Fund (ISF) is a program component of the Kemet Foundation. Funds generated help independent black schools schools (k-8) pay for operational expenses, capital improvements, technology, along with funding activities that deepen the students’ cultural and learning experiences. Funds may also be used to offset teacher and curriculum development. Currently there are four schools being funded in part by IFS :
– Mandela Children’s Learning Village, Compton Ca
– Ile Omode, Oakland Ca
– Afrikan Children’s Advance Learning Center (ACALC), Oakland Ca
