AFRIKAN CHILDREN’S ADVANCED LEARNING CENTER
Located at
1418 CAMPBELL STREET, OAKLAND, CA.
An educational program of the Pan Afrikan People’s Organization (PAPO), The Afrikan Children’s Advanced Learning Center is a private school located in Oakland, Ca that offers youngsters a non-traditional and exceptional educational experience. It is designed to instill academic excellence, discipline, and positive African identity with a focus on African-centered values. A.C.A.L.C.’s goal is to produce independent thinkers who are capable of providing leadership and development.
Unfortunately, many of todays schools focus on the minimum needed to help your child succeed, reach their highest potential and become a self-sufficient contributing member to society and their communities. Many of todays youth do not know how to resist the allure of the street life and popular urban culture even when it is to their own detriment.
The children at A.C.A.L.C. are taught to respect their parents, elders, ancestors, and each other. The curriculum is geared to advance the ability of the child through individual academic plans and African-centered scholarship. Preparation for life-long learning and leading and serving the community are the vanguard of our philosophy.
The legacy of teaching self-mastery continues at ACALC. The legacy of an extremely high value for education continues at ACALC. At the Afrikan Children’s Advanced Learning Center the legacy of greatness that started in Ancient Kemet culture continues.
